CASUALTIES IN RIOTING

Injured in street rioting in the wake of the Industrial Association's port opening attempt today were:

Inspector Jerry Desmond, severe cuts above the eye, near Third and King sts.

Asst. Inspector Cornelius, hit in head by rock, near First and Harrison sts.

Officer John LaDue, hit in leg by rock, near First and Harrison sts.

Rex Hoffman, 20, driver of J.S. Smith Trucking Co., Sacramento, body bruises; attacked and thrown from truck near Third and Minna sts.

Bill Brooks, Sacramento, 22, companion of Hoffman, cut nose, in attack on Hoffman's truck.

Officers Frank Jackson, Irving Finley, Joe Lippi and Ignatius McCarthy, slightly gassed, near Third and Townsend sts.

Walter Kraft, 28, striker, no address given, severe cut over left eye, inflicted by police club in riot at Third and King sts.

George Carlson, 38, striker, 115 Steuart st., scalp cuts, hit by rock near Third and Townsend sts.

Eugene Dunbar, 25, striking seaman, 1458 Seventh ave., shot in left ankle by unknown person, at Third and Townsend sts.

Berton Holmes, 24, teller in Third and Townsend branch of the American Trust Co., 455 Irvington st., Daly City, slight gunshot wound over left eye, from spent bullet that pieced bank window.

Officer Gerald Fennell, 32, of 221 Hoffman ave., bruised left ear and thigh from bricks thrown at Third and King sts.

Officer Robert Davis, 2049 Divisidero st., gas in eyes and bruises over both eyes. Third and King sts.

Officer George Severs, 30, of 35 Bruce st., cut forearm, at Third and King sts.

Peter Macredieles, 63, striking seaman, severe scalp cuts, injured at Third and Townsend sts.
